Syndicated Columnist
In the fall of 2004, "On Point with Chris Papst" was created. It started with one small hometown newspaper and an editor who gave me a chance. It eventually grew to include more than 100,000 households in Berks, Chester, Lancaster, Lebanon and Montgomery Counties. Here, I work to stimulate thought within my readers by finding topics that break from the main stream of thought or add a different angle to existing dialog. I have even been nominated for Columnist of the Year for the entire Journal Register Company, which operates 400 newspapers nationwide. The column is currently on hold as I pursue other professional opportunities. I hope to someday revive it.
