                                                  Statement of Goals

As the only profession protected by the United States Constitution, the media have certain responsibilities.  And whether real or perceived, a large portion of the American public feels that privilege is being neglected.  From false reports, to sensationalism, to blatantly bias or even corrupt journalism by a few, our credibility is diminishing, and it reflects in the numbers. Newspapers are going out of business while network newscasts lose market share every year. A part of this is due to outside influences and technological advances, but numbers don't lie; America is losing trust in its media.

Journalists have an obligation to provide the most accurate, reliable and objective information possible. It is imperative we maintain high standards of excellence. I am committed to doing my part, one story at a time, to achieve that goal.

Thank you for visiting my website. I appreciate your time and interest.

                                                  Activities and Hobbies

Outside of the newsroom, I can be found in one of a few places. The first is the gym. Being an athlete my entire life I cannot seem to stay away. The next is any body of water that holds bass, musky or northern pike. If I am in the house, I am either playing the guitar ( I write and record my own music), reading a book (either political fiction, historical non-fiction or a classic novel), or working on my first two novels: Devolution and My Purest Pecatonica. Other than that, I spend a lot of time with my wife whom I wed on October 15, 2005.
